I love Halloween! I love video games! Why not play a bunch of Halloween themed mobile games? I am not talking about the normal, horror-themed, scare your pants off mobile games where you clutch your phone and wait for a jumpscare. I am talking about games with a Halloween theme, a look about them that projects halloween. There might be a few scares in here, but if you are looking for horror, I am sure we have a horror list knocking around that can fix that craving.
These Halloween games are to get you into the Halloween spirit, to have you feel slightly creepy but not to keep you up at night. Maybe they have candy in them or maybe they remind me specifically of Halloween. Either way, you should be playing them, so read on to hear more about them.

Haunt the House: Terrortown
Developer: SFB Games
Available on: iPhone, Android, iPad, PlayStation Vita
Haunt the House: Terrortown is a cute looking game where you play a little ghost who just wants to get some sleep! Sadly, everyone keeps you up, as they party all night long in a bunch of houses just full of fun items to haunt and possess. And that’s exactly what you have to do, possess each item and, at the right time, start messing with them to scare the humans walking around. As you get rid of them, it becomes more challenging to haunt them, but it’s a fun game.
Candies ‘n Curses is a single screen platformer with a bunch of floors on one screen. These floors are full of Halloween-themed monsters; ghosts, jack-o-lanterns, and more - which you need to defeat by bashing them about or otherwise running your weapons into them. There are boss fights, bright lights, and of course candy to collect and upgrade! It feels a lot like the game was inspired by Halloween.
Spooky Squashers is a squash-inspired game where instead of being put in an empty room, you have a room full of ghosts and ghouls that need some bashing! You can use your wrecket to hit the ball around the room, bouncing off of walls and combo-ing up against other monsters to slowly destroy them. There are upgrades to add more fun to the game - it’s a Halloween twist on a game I quite regonoised.
Fran Bow will always be a creepy, Halloween game in my mind. Fran Bow is a little girl who has awoken in an asylum and is now looking for a way out. Using medication, you can switch between the two worlds - reality and what is in her head - as you move around this hospital trying to find a way out. It’s a point and click adventure game that takes you on a big adventure, all through a pretty creepy world.
If you want something a bit more sweet, Speed Dating for Ghosts is a narrative game where you are looking to go on some dates with some ghouls. There are 10 unique ghosts to choose from, each with their own personalities and thoughts on what they are looking for in a human. You are able to choose what you say to them and see their reaction, changing the branching narrative as you go. It’s a pretty cute game, full of ghosts!

Halloween City
Halloween City is a little city builder with a Halloween twist. Your world is, of course, full of cute monsters that need their own different biomes. You need to build up their world, breed them and create your own army to then use to attack other armies that are out and around the world. You can also get coins through a slot-machine inspired game, level up your monsters and make sure to raid your friends for their loot too.
